Valentin Schertles Porträtzeichnung von Konrad Dietrich Haßler entstand auf der Grundlage einer Fotografie von Hermann Biow. Sie ist Teil einer Reihe von 65 Porträts, die die Abgeordneten der Frankfurter Nationalversammlung von 1848/49 zeigt und im Verlag der S. Schmerber'schen Buchhandlung in Frankfurt am Main erschien. Haßler war viele Jahre als Lehrer tätig sowie 1845-48 Mitglied des württembergischen Landtags. Die Lithografie präsentiert ihn im Brustausschnitt, den Körper nach rechts ins Dreiviertelprofil gewendet.
