Die Lithografie zeigt ein Brustbild des Verlegers und Politikers Georg Friedrich Kolb im Dreiviertelprofil. Gezeichnet wurde sie von Valentin Schertle auf der Grundlage einer Fotografie von Hermann Biow. Das Blatt ist Teil einer Serie von 65 Porträts, die die Abgeordneten der Frankfurter Nationalversammlung von 1848/49 zeigen und von der S. Schmerber'schen Buchhandlung in Frankfurt am Main veröffentlicht wurden.
