Der Kupferstich zeigt das Kopfporträt eines Mädchens. Es ist in Frontalansicht gezeigt, leicht von unten zu den Betrachtenden aufschauend. Auf dem Kopf trägt das in der Bildunterschrift als "Javotte" benannte Kind eine eng anliegende Rüschenhaube, die über der Stirn gerafft und mit einer Schleife verziert ist. Um die Schultern, von denen nur der Ansatz dargestellt wurde, liegt ein Tuch. Johann Gotthard Müller reproduzierte in der Grafik ein Porträt des französischen Malers Pierre-Alexandre Wille. Es entstand, während er bei seinem Vater Johann Georg Wille in Paris zum Kupferstecher ausgebildet wurde.
