Aquarell von Georg Maria Eckert. Titel: „Hauensteiner Volkstrachten - Badischer Schwarzwald." Eckert schuf diese für seine Kunst typische Genreszene im Jahr 1890. Solche Szenen hatten den Sinn, die Tracht einer bestimmten Region klassifikatorisch und stereotyp abzubilden.Das Bild ist ist nach Vorlage einer Aquatintaradierung entstanden, die 1827 von einem bisher unbekannten Künstler entworfen wurde. 1895 hat Eckert für die Großherzoglichen „Vereinigten Sammlungen für Alterthums- und Völkerkunde“ eine Version dieser Darstellung angefertigt (Inventarnummer P 732).
