Teil der Erzählung in dunkler Tinte, Bericht von der Rückreise der Herren. Die Erzählung ist illustriert von zwei Zeichnungen. Eine Zeichnung im Wilhelm Buschsschen Stil zeigt einen korpulenten Mann im Bett mit dick gefütterter Decke, Arme und Beine aus dem Bett gespreizt, der Nachttopf vor dem Bett stehend. Die zweite Zeichnung zeigt ausgelassene Stimmung von Männern, teils mit Falschen, teils rauchend.
