Die Lithografie zeigt den württembergischen Juristen und Politiker Albert Christian Friedrich Schott im Halbprofil von links. Die zugrunde liegende Zeichnung von Bonaventura Weiss war seitenverkehrt gestaltet, wie die im Druck gespiegelte Unterschrift des Künstlers zeigt. Schott hatte seit 1813 wichtige politische Ämter inne, unter anderem war er Abgeordneter der württembergischen Ständeversammlung und des Landtags sowie der Frankfurter Nationalversammlung von 1848. Daneben engagierte er sich sehr für Gesang und begründete den Stuttgarter Liederkranz (Gesangverein) mit.
