Die Lithografie zeigt einen Blick in die Eingangshalle des alten Stuttgarter Bahnhofs, der sich in der Bolzstraße befand. Die Halle war im Stil der Neorenaissance gestaltet und hatte links und rechts je einen Raum für die Ausgabe der Fahrkarten; vor dem linken stehen im Bild mehrere Personen. Dazwischen öffnete sich ein langer Korridor, der zu den Gleisen führte. Das Bild sowie die Bildunterschrift sind spiegelverkehrt wiedergegeben, da es sich bei der Grafik um ein Guckkastenbild handelt.
