Der Stich mit der Ansicht des Marktplatzes in Stuttgart ist Teil des Albums "Erinnerung an Stuttgart und seine Umgebungen", das insgesamt 26 Grafiken umfasst. Die Motive beruhen auf Zeichnungen von Friedrich Keller, Herausgeber war der Kunstverlag Ebner. Der Blick erfolgt leicht schräg von links über den Platz hinweg auf das Rathaus; der Renaissancebau wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts abgerissen. Links von dem Gebäude steht der Marktbrunnen, der heute weiter nach vorne links versetzt ist. Locker über den Platz verteilt sind Fuhrwerke und Menschen dargestellt.
