Auf dem Blatt ist König David dargestellt, der die Harfe spielt. Angefertigt wurde die Radierung 1633 von Theodoor van Thulden nach einem Gemälde von Valentin de Boulogne. David soll um 1000 v. Chr. gelebt haben und gilt als Verfasser zahlreicher Psalmen. Aus der prophetischen Zusage eines ewigen Bestands der Daviddynastie (2 Sam 7 EU) entwickelte sich die biblische Messias-Erwartung, die im Judentum eine große Bedeutung hat. Auf der Rückseite befinden sich Porträts der Könige von Frankreich von Pharamond (5. Jh.) bis Ludwig XIII. (1601-1643) (unvollständig). (md, KSt/2025)
