Peale taasiseseisvumist tagastati hoone Kimbergide perele. Hoone ühte osa, mis oli tühjaks jäänud (perekond Au korter), hakati taastama 2019. aastal. Osa perekond Aule kuulunud esemeid annetati ruumide tühjendamisel muuseumile.
