De hoed is gemaakt van natuurkleurige stro. De hoed heeft een hoge platte bol waar een bruine en beige gestreept lint rond is aangebracht, eindigend in een platte strik aan de linkerzijde van de bol. De entree van de hoed is verstevigd met een lederen boord. De bol is gedubbeld met ecru bedrukt en geglaceerd papier. De randen van de bol zijn gedubbeld met een witte tulen voering.
