The relief is decorated with a medallion bordered on the bottom by a garland and molded supports on the top and to the sides. In the center is a depiction of Zeus with curly, shoulder-length hair and a straight beard. He is fully clothed in a tunic and mantle over both shoulders. The right hand is placed over the chest and is schematically rendered. Beneath the medallion is a Greek inscription in 2 lines. Below, another relief element is mostly lost, but may have been a frontal bull. The marble is white with a gray-brown patina. It is unworked at the back.
