One of two fragments that join to form the front panel of a sarcophagus. This smaller fragment makes up the left side of the panel and contains a multilayered pastoral landscape scene. In the foreground at the lower left sits a shepherd wearing an exomis (a short chiton that leaves one shoulder bare). A bag is slung over his shoulder and he leans on a staff with his left hand, while feeding a dog with his right. Below his crossed legs, a seated child plays with a bird. To the right, a fat-rumped sheep stands on the lower border. A ram stands on a rocky outcropping up to the left. To the upper right a goat suckles her kid. In the upper zone on the left next to the tree there was a goat carved in high relief; only the feet are preserved. To the right are two cows in low relief. Below, a reclining goat looks up at a bearded god who sits between two trees.
