Brustbild der Dichterin Anselma Heine (1855-1930) im weißen Spitzenkleid, den Blick melancholisch auf den Betrachter gerichtet. Es muss sich um ein frühes Werk der Malerin Betty Wolff (1863-1941) handeln, die damals erst 21 und damit acht Jahre jünger als die Dargestellte war. Ein eindrucksvolles Frühwerk, das auf eine frühe Bekanntschaft und ein Gefühl geistiger Verwandtschaft der beiden Frauen deutet. Sie kannten einander durch ihre entfernte Verwandtschaft - sie waren Cousinen. Die Dichterin lebte in Halle/Saale bzw. bei ihrem Bruder im Elsass, erst 1896 ließ sie sich in Berlin nieder. Altbestand des Märkischen Museums. Bezeichnet re. o. eigenhändig? "B. Wolff / 1884". Nicht im Bestandskatalog der Gemälde des Stadtmuseums II,1 und II.
