Der schwäbische Impressionist und Landschaftsmaler Hermann Pleuer (1863-1911) wurde im Volksmund auch "Der Eisenbahnmaler" genannt. Dieses Gemälde entstand 1908 und war im Folgejahr in der Ausstellung "Der deutsche Impressionismus" in Bielefeld zu sehen.
