Entspannt schläft ein nackter Knabe ausgestreckt auf einem Löwenfell. Die Flügel erweisen ihn als Erosknaben, der als weitere Attribute einen Pfeilköcher neben sich liegen hat sowie eine gesenkte Fackel als Zeichen des Friedens in der Hand hält. Das Fell zeichnet ihn als Überwinder des mythologischen Halbgottes Herkules aus, dessen Stärke durch die Liebe besiegt werden kann. Von dieser Skulptur existieren mehrere Varianten in Bronze und Marmor.
