Die Altartafel stellt im Zentrum die Himmelfahrt Mariens dar, deren Figur von einem mit Engeln besetzten Wolkenkranz umgeben ist. Ganz oben, in der höchsten Sphäre, erwartet sie Gottvater. Darunter sind die zwölf Apostel als Zeugen des Geschehens um ihren leeren Sakophag versammelt. Christian Rodt, ein Bildhauer aus der vorderösterreichischen Markgrafschaft Burgau oder ein Künstler aus seinem Umfeld hat dieses für einen Altar bestimmtes Relief geschaffen.
