Kupferstich von Jan Goeree (1670-1731) mit Innenansicht der Zuider- oder Sint-Pancratiuskirche in Enkhuizen in den Niederlande. Die zweischiffige, gotische Hallenkirche wurde zwischen 1423/24 und 1485 errichtet, der Turm 1524 fertiggestellt. Die Kirche war ursprünglich katholisch und ging 1572 in protestantische Hände über. Bereits 1484 hatte der Stadtrat das Deckengewölbe mit Geschichten aus der Bibel bemalen lassen. Der Blick nach Süden in das Kirchenschiff zeigt den Zustand nach 1608, als die Deckenmalereien im Zuge der Reformation übermalt worden sind. Sie wurden 2005 restauriert. Auch di…
