Sveti Ivan stoji na niskom podnožju s jakim okretom tijela i glave. Desna ruka držala je u visini struka kalež, dok je lijeva šaka podignuta prema grudima. Stopala su bosa. Odjeven je u dugačku haljinu dugih rukava s dva uska, preklopljena nabora duž prsa. Plašt je pričvršćen jednim okrajkom o lijevo rame i i teškim preklopom obilazi bedra, pokrivajući trup i desnu nogu. Obla, mladenačka glava pravilnih crta, s tipičnim Komersteinerovskim jakim vilicama, uokvirena je dugačkim pramenovima kose koji u dva uvojka padaju na grudi.
