Mladenački svetac stoji na niskoj, okrugloj bazi, a do nogu mu je orao raširenih krila. Tijelo je pokrenuto u kontrapostu, lagano zbačene glave. Lijeva ruka drži u visini struka otvorenu knjigu, desna je podignutom šakom držala pero (izgubljeno). Vitki vrat nosi veliku glavu s licem pravilnih, nježnih crta s tipičnim širokim obrazima, omeđenim snažnom linijom vilica. Glatki pramenovi kose padaju na čelo i spuštaju se duž obraza i vrata u tankim pramenovima na grudi. Odjeven je u togu koja je lagano drapirana oko vrata i preko grudiju, stisnuta u struku i pada prema stopalima; ističući koljena…
