Kip stoji na niskoj, okrugloj bazi s laganim okretom tijela i isturenom desnom nogom. Spuštena lijeva ruka drži u visini bedra knjigu, a lijeva, ispružena naprijed, nekad je držala pero. Toga sa širokim vratnim izrezom i dugačkim rukavima stegnuta je u pasu pojasom i drapirana u vertikalnim naborima pada prema bosim stopalima. Lijeva ruka stišće okrajak plašta koji u širokom luku obilazi leđa i mekano pada preko desne strane trupa, zategnut nad istaknutom nogom.
