Mandola - lutnja (Mandolenlaute) instrument je sa žicama i jedna od varijanti lutnje varijabilne veličine. Sastoji se od vrata i rezonantnog korpusa izduženog kruškolikog i ispupčenog oblika izrađenogod tvrdog drva s glasnjačom od javorovine na kojoj se nalazi zvučni otvor s na proboj izrezbarenom rozetom. Ispod nje je pričvršćena valovito rezana daščica od crnog drva s gumbićima na koje se pričvršćuju i ovijaju žice.
