Kralj stoji u raskoraku na podnožju, s naglašenim okretom tijela, u kontrapostu. Odjeven je u oklop koji seže do koljena, sa oklopljenim, visokim čizmama na nogama. Plašt je prebačen preko lijeve nadlaktice, prelazi koso preko prsa i veže se na desnom ramenu velikim čvorom te pada niz leđa sve do stopala. Desna je ruka savijena u laktu, lijeva je prihvatila štit (sada izgubljen, sačuvan je samo dio okvira). Glava je okrenuta prema naprijed, okrenuta prema naprijed, okrunjena. Kratka kosa i brada uokviruju lice širokih, naglašenih jagodica, krupnih očiju i srcolikih usana.
