Der Inschrift unterhalb des Porträts nach zu schließen, entstand diese Druckgrafik nach dem 25-jährigen Thronjubiläum von König Wilhelm I. im Jahr 1841. Der württembergische König ist im Brustausschnitt in Uniform gezeigt, den Körper leicht nach rechts aus der Bildebene gedreht. Als Vorlage diente eine Porträtzeichnung von Friedrich Bernhard Elias, die wiederum auf einem Gemälde des Malers Franz Seraph Stirnbrand basiert. Es existiert eine weitere Variante dieser Lithografie, allerdings mit quadratischem Bildformat (vgl. Inv.-Nr. 9050/05610). Auch hinsichtlich des in der Inschrift abgedruckten Datums der Feierlichkeiten unterscheiden sich die beiden Blätter: 30. Oktober 1841 (Inv.-Nr. 9050/05610) und 31. Oktober 1841 (Inv.-Nr. 9050/04150).
