Das Blatt zeigt Venus, die römische Göttin der Liebe, mit ihrem Sohn Amor. Venus ist an ihrem Diadem und ihren Ohrringen aus Perlen zu erkennen, die Schönheit und Fruchtbarkeit symbolisieren. Sie hat ihre linke Brust entblößt und blickt über ihre linke Schulter auf Amor, der mit Bogen, Pfeil und Köcher dargestellt ist. Der Kupferstich ist eine Kopie nach dem Gemälde „Venus und Amor“ von Govaert Flinck. Das Gemälde ist nicht erhalten geblieben, befand sich aber damals in der Sammlung des Schriftstellers und Theaterdirektors Tobias van Domselaer (1611 - 1658). Am unteren Rand sind der Darstellung Verse von Joost van den Vondel beigefügt. (md, KSt/2025)
