Das Ölgemälde zeigt eine Ölmühle am Sulzerrain in Cannstatt sowie die damals noch nicht überdachte Mineralquelle - dort wurde später der Kursaal errichtet. Dem Künstler diente vermutlich die Druckgraphik von August Seyffer als Anregung (Stadtarchiv Stuttgart 9050/01720). Das Mühlrad beispielsweise ist bei Seyffer nicht in dieser Form vorhanden. Der Künstler "M. Sander" konnte leider bisher noch nicht näher identifiziert werden.
