Käte Schaller-Härlin porträtierte 1926 den Stuttgarter Unternehmer und Kunstsammler Hugo Borst mit seinen beiden Söhnen Heinz und Peter. Ehefrau und Töchter sind nicht im Bild, jedoch im Hintergrund dargestellt in der Büste der Vater Borsts. Bücher und Kunstwerke umgeben den Sessel, auf dem der passionierte Sammler von Büchern und zeitgenössischer Kunst sitzt. Im Stadtarchiv Stuttgart wird auch der Nachlass der Künstlerin verwahrt: Bestand 2320 Nachlass Käte Schaller-Härlin.
