Barbara Augustine war die Tochter Johann Adrian Alexanders (1657-1717). Sie starb unvermählt. Die Goldverzierungen ihrer Kleidung und die floralen Elemente sind rokokohaft verspielt. Die modische Erscheinung erlaubt eine Datierung des Gemäldes auf die Zeit nach 1730.
