Ils ont déjà une structure donnée que je solidifie par les couches successives. Lentement, ontologiquement, une construction architecturale émerge. Puis soudain deux ans plus tard, surprise : la figure humaine apparaît, s’impose, d’abord statique, debout. Je l’efface, elle réapparaît. Je raye, elle ressurgit, par écriture rapide, spontanée, cent fois répétée, cent fois supprimée, ensevelie. Enfin une violente énergie picturale fait éclater la structure architecturale et fait rejaillir obliquement la figure, essayant de la pousser en dehors de la toile. They already have a structure that I solidify with successive layers. Slowly and ontologically, an architectural construction emerges. Then, suddenly, two years later, surprise! The human figure appears and imposes itself, at first static, erect. I erase it; it reappears. I scratch it out; it emerges again through a quick, spontaneous writing, repeated one hundred times, suppressed one hundred times, buried. Finally, a violent pictorial energy explodes the architectural structure and spews out the figure diagonally, as if trying to push it right off the canvas. The surface becomes a true palimpsest.
