Das Porträt des Kaufmanns Georg Zoeppritz (1804-1892) endstand als Paar mit dem Bild seiner Frau Mariette (1802-1874). Franz Seraph Stirnbrand malte das Ehepaar 1872. Zoeppritz wird im Brustausschnitt vor braunem Hintergrund gezeigt. Er ist im Dreiviertelprofil von links dargestellt, in eine schwarze Anzugsjacke mit gleichfarbiger Krawatte über weißem Hemd gekleidet. Mit seinem Bruder Jacob gründete Georg Zoeppritz 1828 in Mergelstetten bei Heidenheim das Unternehmen Gebr. Zoeppritz, das sich auf die Herstellung von Wolldecken und Flanellen spezialisierte. Es existiert bis heute, inzwischen unter dem Namen "zoeppritz since 1828".
