Dieses Staatsporträt zeigt Barbara Sophia Herzogin von Württemberg, die 1609 Herzog Johann Friedrich von Württemberg (reg. 1608-1628) heiratete. Sie trägt ein kostbares dunkles Galakleid mit golddurchwebten Bändern, orangefarbenen Posamenten und einem aufgestellten Spitzenkragen. Nach dem Tod ihres Mannes im Jahr 1628 zog Barbara Sophie nach Brackenheim und richtete dort eine Kunstkammer mit 155 Gemälden ein - damals die zweitgrößte Sammlung in Württemberg. Das Gemälde wird Georg Donauer zugeschrieben. Es ist im Alten Schloss ausgestellt.
