Tekla Lindeström (1856–1937) var trägravör. Hon förlovade sig under tiden i Grez med en annan medlem av den svenska konstnärskolonin, målaren Karl Nordström. Fästmannen har avbildat henne under arbete. Den lilla duken hon fäst i håret är för att undvika att bli bländad av arbetsljuset från fönstret.
