Ook het thema – verleiding – komt overeen. Een man probeert een vrouw te verleiden door haar oesters aan te bieden, een lustopwekkende delicatesse. De man (Van Mieris zelf) heeft succes: de vrouw (Van Mieris’ echtgenote) toont hem uitdagend haar boezem.
