Zwei junge Frauen, sitzend an einem Tisch, der mit blauem Tuch bedeckt ist, darauf eine weiße Kanne für Kaffee (vermutlich KPM Kurland). In der rechten Bildhälfte eine junge Frau mit damals modischem Bubenkopf im Dreiviertelprofil nach links, die Hände tätig mit einer Näharbeit. Sie ist gekleidet in ein ockerfarbenes Empirekleid mit einem weißen Voileeinsatz. Die junge Frau im weißem Musselin links von ihr sieht uns an, anscheinend gerade von dem Buch, das in ihrem Schoß liegt, aufschauend.
