Studie einer sitzenden, offensichtlich schlafenden Frau, auf ihrem Schoß ein in ihren Armen schlafendes Kleinkind haltend. Neben der Mutter noch die Umrisse einer weiteren Person angedeutet. Skizzenhaft gerahmt, am unteren Rand Strichproben. Die im Hintergrund angedeuteten beiden Fenster lassen an eine Situation in einem Zug denken. Die Bezeichnung "le refuge" deutet auf eine Fluchtsituation. Angekauft 1947 von Oskar Menfert in Torgau für das Märkische Museum. Bezeichnet re. o. wohl von der Künstlerin "le refuge", li. u. wohl von fremder Hand "Dora Hitz". Nicht im Werkverzeichnis von Natalie …
