Das Gemälde "Kreuztragung mit Veronika" ist ein Ausschnitt aus einem Altarflügel mit der Darstellung eines "Kalvarienbergs, die in die Zeit des frühen 16. Jahrhunderts datiert wird. Die Tafel wurde bereits 1889 vom erzbischöflichen Bauamt Karlsruhe an die "Badische Sammlung für Alterthums und Völkerkunde" übergeben, die 1919 in das Badische Landesmuseum übergingen. Die Darstellung zeigt im Hintergrund eine hinter einem begrünten Hügel gelegene Stadt. Sie wird von zwei Kirchen beherrscht, von denen je eine in romanischer und in gotischer Architektur gebaut ist.
