Pioneiro da abstração em 1914, praticante de uma pintura única acrescida de colagem de objetos do quotidiano em 1917, de afinidade ParaDadaísta, Amadeo de Sousa-Cardoso, precocemente falecido em 1918 de pneumónica, foi o grande nome da vanguarda da arte portuguesa dos Anos Dez.
