Kjell Bendiksen wurde 1948 in Bergen geboren und lebt heute in Lillehammer. Er studierte an der School of Art and Craft und der Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo. Bendiksen arbeitet vor allem mit Tiefdruck und hat in verschiedenen Intaglio-Techniken einen eigenen Ausdruck entwickelt. In seinen Polymerätzungen enthalten die Motive Elemente, die Assoziationen wecken, in einer figurativen und teils abstrahierenden Formensprache.
