New York: Random House, 1967. First Edition. / DeLuxe with the hologram laid on the board. Hardbound - SIGNED by Warhol on the cover and inside as well. On page 4 - "To Charley Andy Warhol" The quintessential sixties Pop Art Book, complete with disjointed black and white images (some by Stephen Shore), popups, fold-outs, bags, disks, balloons, records, and other cultural detritus manufactured at Warhol's Factory. While the book may seem like a well-staged child's joke, it is no coincidence that this volume and Warhol's Stockholm catalogue were spied at the offices of the Japanese group Provoke. Warhol's influence, both as an artist and an innovator in the growing world of mechanical reproduction, had repercussions in the growing world of Japanese photography. (Roth 188-189). Some loose pages - can easily be restored. The usual issue with the balloon - from photo you can see it was also initialled but now eroded. A very rare copy - with most of the multiples initialled. even the pop up soup can.
