Autumn in England , 1988, is a glorious example of William Crozier's skill as a truly vibrant colourist. Within Crozier's practice from the mid 1980's to mid 1990's the artist explored total freedom in his chosen palette. As we can see in Autumn in England , Crozier incorporated pale pinks alongside Naples yellow, ultramarine, peppermint greens and lavender, his English landscape becoming in equal parts real and fantastical.
