Le tryptique fermé présente un profil de Louis XVIII, dans un médaillon ; ouvert il montre le profil de Napoléon, entouré, à gauche, d'un drapeau tricolore avec aigle et "N" rayonnant, à droite, d'un lys frappé par la foudre et, sur les volets, de deux aigles impériales.
