Dieses Porträt zeigt Heinrich Maria Hess (1798-1863) als Brustbild. Sein Kopf ist leicht zur Seite geneigt und der Blick geht am Betrachter vorbei. Heß wird als älterer Mann mit hellem, gelichtetem Haar und einem ruhigen, nachdenklichen Gesichtsausdruck. Er trägt die typische bürgerliche Kleidung seiner Zeit, bestehend aus einem dunklen Mantel, einer Weste und einem hochgeschlossenen dunklen Halstuch. Hess war Professor an der Münchner Königliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste. Es handelt sich um eine klassische grafische Reproduktion basierend auf einem Gemälde von Carl Dahl. (md, KSt/2026)
