Sentralt i bildet ser man et rundt bygg som reises ovenfor kapellet på kirkegården i Hammerfest. Gravkapllet i Hammerfest var det eneste gjenstående bygget etter nedbrenninga av byen under andre verdenskrig. Bak kapellet ligger sentrum og havna med ødelagde kaianlegg, lenger bak ser man ruinene på Molla.
