The picture is published in the Upsala New Newspaper, 29 May 1936, with the following caption: “The mill people join the procession when passing Vattholma mill..” Friherre Fredrik von Essens, who died on 19 May 1936, was a stronghold in Lena Church, Uppland on 28 May 1936. The submitter’s grandfather Konrad Wallin was one of the coffin carriers. All those who carried the coffin received photographs from the burial as memory and a small silver trophy with the text: “Memory of Friherre Fredrik von Essens’s earth stronghold d. May 28, 1936.”
