The Employment Service for Women was located on SvartförmedArbets in Uppsala 1941. The picture was published in one of the very few articles from the 1930s and 1940s that show that not only men, but also women were affected by unemployment. The employment office for women had special waiting rooms for different occupational groups and employers. In addition there was conversation room where employers and jobseekers could meet. The men also had their own employment office. The same was true of the youth, who would have improved help from the County Labour Board.
