Garden workers with the Yellow Villa in the background, the City Garden. The high benches in the bench yard are covered with tied carpets of reeds. The reed mats were used especially during cold nights. Reeds were taken from the Värdsätraviken or in Fyrisån. As a fourth man from the left stands horticultural foreman August Nilsson (1879-09-10 -- 1950-12-12), employed in the city garden 1895-1935. Gift of Britta Boierth.
