A F & J Nyman, A factory for velocipeder, kir instruments and bandages. “The monastery street facing north-east from Dragarbrunnsgatan. In 1888 Adolf Nyman made his first bicycle at his father’s instrument workshop at Dragarbrunns” 25. A successful bicycle production had thus begun, and soon it would develop into one of the city’s largest industries, A.-B. Nyman’s workshops, with the production of the famous bicycle brands Hermes and Crescent. The corner property in the Plantan district from 1895 became Nyman’s first factory.
