Pythagoras motorfabrik i Norrtälje grundades 1898. Några år in på det nya seklet konstruerade man sin egen tändkulemotor. 1907 hade fabriken en motor på världsutställningen i Milano. Den fick gå oavbrutet, dygnet runt, i en månad och bedriften fyllde orderböckerna. Som mest arbetade 150 man vid Pythagoras. Fabriken lades ned 1979.
