På denna plats stod Linnés Vaporarium, en två meter hög varmbänk som användes för uppdrivning av växter ur frö. En varmbänk värms upp dels av solens strålar, dels underifrån när hästgödsel och garvarebark "brinner" samman. Exakt hur varmbänken såg ut är inte känt.
