Hågelbyparken har under seklernas lopp haft många ägare, men den som satt sin prägel på dagens Hågelbypark är främst telefonfabrikören Lars Magnus Ericsson. Han köpte gården 1906 och lät uppföra byggnaderna, som finns inom området. Den ståtliga huvudbyggnaden stod klar 1915 i den nyanlagda parken.
